Chinese food is loved by millions around the world. It’s known for its great flavors and fast cooking time. Have you ever seen it being prepared in a restaurant or on tv? Chefs use high flames and fast hand movements, the process is entertaining. I make some form of Asian meal at least once a week. Here is my latest Special fried rice recipe.
Ingredients
Feel free to add or minus from the ingredients and quantity. This is a rough estimate.
4 cups of uncooked rice or 6-8 cups of cooked rice
Shrimp (amount is up to you)
1/2 lb Beef or as you like
1/2 cup Soy Sauce
1 tsp Sesame Oil
2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
1 tsp Sugar
4 cloves of Garlic
1-2 stalks of Escallion
1/2 cup Sweet Corn
1/4 cup Sweet Peas
1 medium Carrot
Cayenne Pepper (optional)
Black Pepper (optional)
Instruction
Cut thin strips of beef and season with soy sauce and black pepper. Add a little baking soda to tenderize the beef. Put it in the refrigerator for a few hours.
Peel and season shrimp with soy sauce, cayenne and black pepper.
If you have leftover white rice then perfect. If not, then cook some and spread in another container to cool.
When you are ready to cook, grab the other ingredients.
Finely chop garlic and dice some onion. Cut carrots into small cubes. Open a can of sweet corn and a can of sweet peas, and drain them both.
Get a bowl and mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and sugar.
Cut escallion and set it aside.
Flame Time
Get a wok or large pan and heat on high. Add some vegetable oil, garlic, and onion, and stir-fry the beef. Add shrimp and keep stirring until they get a little golden. Set aside.
Add some sesame oil to the wok and put in the rice. Pour in some of the sauce you made. Mix throuroughly. Fry for a few minutes and then add corn and peas.
Add the beef and shrimp to the rice and keep stirring. Toss in escallion and serve.
