Your friend tells you that there is a test tomorrow, and you start panicking. How could I not remember? What am I going to do? On top of this, the test is for your least favorite subject. There isn’t enough time to prepare; failure is on the horizon.
Have you ever been in a situation like that?
Years after leaving the classroom, many of us still find ourselves in situations where we are not prepared for what is to come. It can be us dropping the ball, but other times life happens.
I saw Nicole on the news this morning. I like to watch last night’s news while having breakfast. Anyway, she had a very unfortunate thing to deal with. At age 28, she had some twisted blood vessels in her brain. If not treated, she could have a fatal stroke at any moment. This condition caused her to suffer countless migraines and other uncomfortable symptoms.
She visited seven doctors, and none could assist her. This young woman had four kids and a partner and had to start gathering the strength to steer death in its ugly face. Imagine how painful that experience must have been.
One day she was talking about her situation when a customer caught on. The customer’s son was working with the world-renowned Neurosurgeon, Dr. Nirav Patel, one of the few able to handle an arteriovenous malformation (AVM). What are the odds? It was at this moment that this hopeless young woman got a ray of hope.
Nicole made contact and got scheduled for the life-changing procedure. After a 12-hour surgery, she was cured of her AVM. She now lives her life to the fullest, making the most of family time, moments she never knew she would be around to experience. Nicole’s story on NBC News. Time stamp: 18:22
Life can get dark. We may find ourselves in hopeless situations but it isn’t always the end. Hold on because God is the light. Other times you may get a stroke of luck, like going to school the next day and hearing that the test you didn’t get to prepare for is canceled.
Sometimes, life works out.
If you are feeling worried or down, here is a song to cheer you up.
The video was priceless.
